Reprint | | Print |

HARARE - People living with disabilities in Zimbabwe are being exploited in the job market and often reward with food and a dollar a day for their services.

According to the National Association of Societies for the Care of the Handicapped (NASCOH), there are 1.5 million people living with disabilities in the country, with only two percent formally employed.

About 64 percent are said to be employed in the informal sector. Many among the remaining survive on begging. (END//2014)
